Nestled at 1876 3rd Ave in a vibrant neighborhood of the city, this brand impresses with its straightforward charm and thoughtfully designed accommodations. Visitors consistently highlight the suite’s authentic representation—what you see is truly what you get, avoiding the typical gloss of staged marketing photos. This honesty fosters trust, a rare comfort when traveling in a city as sprawling as New York.

The suites themselves balance functionality with coziness. Guests find elegant furnishings paired with practical amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, making each stay feel more like home than a transient stop. Natural ventilation through windows on multiple sides breathes freshness into the space, while heavy drapes ensure restful mornings despite the urban surroundings. The presence of essential conveniences like complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning meets modern expectations without overcomplicating the experience.

Location is a cornerstone of Upper Yorkville Suites’ appeal. Situated just a block from a major east side subway, the brand serves as a perfect base for city exploration. The vibrant local scene offers rich Latin American and Italian culinary delights, street art, and cultural immersion near El Museo del Barrio. While the surrounding area has its rough edges, longtime guests attest that the neighborhood’s character and safety are intact, advising a little cultural preparedness—such as some knowledge of Spanish—to fully appreciate the environment.

Customer testimonials reveal a deep appreciation for the attentive and warm hospitality extended by the owners, setting a tone of welcome that enhances the guest experience. This personal touch combined with well-maintained, kid-friendly spaces and convenient access to nearby services like laundromats underscore the brand’s thoughtful approach to comfort and guest needs.

Though Upper Yorkville Suites lacks certain amenities like a pool, fitness center, or on-site dining, its no-nonsense, smoke-free environment appeals to travelers seeking authenticity without unnecessary frills. The subtle blend of urban energy and homely relaxation cultivates an atmosphere where guests feel anchored yet free to explore.

In essence, Upper Yorkville Suites is more than a place to sleep—it is a quiet refuge and a gateway to the pulsating rhythms of New York’s east side. Its blend of honesty, warmth, and practicality resonates deeply, making it a favored choice for visitors eager to experience the city with heart and simplicity.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Comfy bed, well appointed kitchen. Some drinks in the fridge (additional charge if you actually drink them, but I appreciate the convenience.) The pictures you see aren't the typical "best angle" shots you see for other places. This place is exactly what you see pictured. McD's right next door, BK and Subway very close as well. Several other options a short walk away, if you want something more upscale. Owners were friendly and accommodating. I have certainly paid more for less when staying in Manhattan.

We stayed here a few years ago...it was really nice, comfortable, and quiet. There are some yummy restaurants near as well. Rough projects across the street...but the people don't bother you and its a Spanish area so know some Spanish, the people sell fresh fruit right outside, but you need a Lil Spanish for it.

Great owners, extended very warm welcomes despite reaching an hour before our check-in. Room was elegantly furnished and very comfortable. Area was pretty quiet and safe.

Stayed here for a 2 week trip sightseeing in NY. It is only 1 block from the main subway on the east side which was very convenient. Clean room, comfortable bed and hide away bed, good stove and fridge. We did buy some cooking tools upon arrival as the room did not have a spatula. Laundromat is a 1.5 blocks away.

"-- Tl;dr Nice room, good service, do research on location to make sure it is what you are expecting. --" Comfortable and modern feeling, with a full kitchen. Windows on both sides, which allow for a nice breeze and good ventilation (~) when opened. No fan in the bathroom but it is well ventilated enough that it doesn't matter. Heavy drapes on east windows to block out the morning sun. Not unreasonably noisy for being in the city. Plenty of good food with lots of fast food spots nearby, a McDonald's is literally next door, though nothing within a couple blocks is open 24hrs. Free WiFi and television with HDMI capability. Difficult to find from outside. Some might find the area a little intimidating. Shower is slow to heat up and then takes a lot of effort to get it cool enough to use. No drying rack for dishes. Foldout bed is confusing and there are no written instructions. Television had poor signal from the antenna. Even though there were coax cables connected, they were not selectable. Remote had no batteries, if it had that might have solved some other issues with the TV. However, the real concerning thing about the room I was in were the locks on the windows. There were two types of locks, but neither actually locked the windows.* Especially when considering the location, this is particularly distressing; even with the rooms being elevated multiple stories off the ground. There is a safe but that only mitigates the problem. Overall I enjoyed my stay immensely and would definitely stay again. Nearly all the complaints I had, with the exception of the window locks, were minor. I recommend booking with the hotel directly to get the best price. The staff are polite, responsive and attentive. (*)I have notified the staff of the issue with the window locks but I still recommend asking about them before booking. I believe that they will have them fixed quickly, or I would have lowered my rating.

By far the best place I've stayed at in NYC. I went with my wife and a friend for a night so we could enjoy some sights in the city. Our room was very homey and comfortable. Are it sits in is relatively quiet for the city it sits in. Apartment is small, but uses the space very well and feels bigger than it really is. All of the furniture was clean and comfortable. PLENTY of places nearby to eat and drink. Also near great public transportation spots; Subway is a block away. If you're small group, or just a couple looking for a safe, warm place to stay, I highly recommend staying here.
